For those of us living in the northern part of the US, here are some money saving tips to make your heating bills a little smaller this winter.
- Get your furnace routinely serviced
- Replace filters
- If you have a fireplace, make sure the chimney is free from clogs and nests.
- Fill in cracks - If it's too late in the season to fix them on the outside, use blankets or towels to block cold air from coming in.
- Turn down the temperature at night - Just adding an additional blanket will keep you warm at night while saving money.
