Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to clean my carpet or upholstery?

30-45 minutes per room or area is an estimated time, and can vary significantly depending on the amount of furniture, how dirty the carpet or upholstery is, and necessity of spot removal treatments.

How long will it take for my carpet or upholstery to dry?

It typically takes about 1 hour for your carpets to dry. Usually the first rooms we clean will be dry by the time we leave. Drying time for a carpet, however, is regulated by the humidity and airflow in the room. If the relative humidity is high, drying time can be longer than one hour. In these situations, air conditioning or heat will help speed the process.

Drying time for upholstery is very difficult to predict. Not only do the above-mentioned environmental issues impact the drying time, but the type of upholstery material will have a significant effect as well. As a general rule, expect most upholstery to take up to 24 hours to dry.

Will the cleaning agents used harm my children or pets?

Our cleaning solution is water based and completely safe for children and pets. Some of our stain removal and disinfectant products may contain more aggressive agents which children or pets should stay away from while they are still wet. As a general rule, keep your children and pets from lying or playing on damp carpet or upholstery.

How long do I have to wait after cleaning to let my children or pets on the carpet or upholstery?

The carpet may be walked on with complimentary booties, clean feet, or socks while damp. Activity on the carpet should be limited to foot traffic until the carpet is dry.

The upholstery should be allowed to dry completely before returning the cushions and pillows to their usual places.

Do I need to vacuum before you arrive?

No. As a part of our cleaning process, we will vacuum your carpets

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?

Yes & No. We'll move sofas, chairs, and end tables when possible, then return the items to their rightful places. We refrain from moving items that we may damage, including entertainment centers, electronic equipment or computers, display cases, china cabinets, or bookshelves. We also do not move heavy items such as pianos or pool tables, or items such as beds and dressers where there is simply no place to put them. Please be sure to have all small items such as wastebaskets, magazines, shoes, toys, etc, up off the area before we arrive.

Do I have to be home while my carpet is being cleaned?

It is not necessary for you to be home while your carpet is being cleaned because our cleaning technicians are thoroughly trained professionals you can trust. In order to provide the best possible cleaning, we do recommend that someone is home before we begin cleaning to discuss any specific needs or areas of concern regarding the care of your carpet.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept checks and cash.

How do you guarantee customer satisfaction?

We are happy to work with you to correct any situation that leads to your dissatisfaction. We want to keep you as a customer for life, and are committed to doing whatever it takes to satisfy you.

How Often Should You Have Your Carpet Cleaned?

Industry standards recommend that you clean your carpets every 6 to 18 months, depending on your lifestyle. It makes sense that homes with children and pets need the carpets cleaned even more often. Dirt is like sandpaper. It damages your carpet. The more often you have your carpets cleaned, the longer they will last.

Does cleaning your carpet make it wear out faster?

No, actually it is the dirt that wears your carpets out faster. It acts as an abrasive when trapped in your carpet or fabrics and should be removed to reduce wear.

Why don't some stains come out during cleaning?

This depends on many factors including:

  1. What caused the stain
  2. How long the stain has been in the carpet
  3. If the stain has a dye in it
  4. If any spot removers were used on the stain which may have set the stain prior to having us clean the stain

What can I do to keep my carpet lasting longer?

Almost 80% of the soil brought into your home is tracked in on the soles of your shoes. Place mats or runners at all entrance areas to help clean your shoes, or take your shoes off. Vacuum often and have your carpets cleaned regularly.

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

No problem. At Heaven's Best we understand life happens. Please let us know as soon as you can so we may reschedule.

Is your solution safe for my children and pets?

Yes. Our solution is non-toxic and completely safe for all walks of life. We carry our solution's Material & Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in all our vehicles and are available to you upon request.
