Posted: Nov 2, 2011On October 20th I was blessed with the opportunity to be part of a panel and presentation for an event called Coogs and Cribs Home Seminar hosted by The Home Sourze at the University of Houston.
We were there as educators and resources for the students discussing the investment of a home and all that’s involved with the process. With a back ground in Banking and Investments, in addition to my Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning business, I took this as an opportunity to demonstrate how to preserve the investment of carpet by having them professionally cleaned on a regular basis and how important it is to use our Heaven's Best Fabric Protector after each cleaning.
The financial lesson here is to not be as concerned with "first costs" but rather focus on "life cycle costs". What we are looking for is a return on our investment which is provided by prolonging one's carpet fiber life, resisting of permanent stains and sun fading, easier clean up, and reduction of the chance of mold.
The most important lesson here was not only should we be concerned with the life cycle financial cost but to remember that our home is a place where we plan on raising a family, entertaining friends, and creating memories that will last a life time.
God Bless!
