Does it still SMELL?

Many experts tell us that our senses are programmed and trained to remember sounds, flavors, smells etc., long after they're gone. Ever notice that after you've driven the same route every day for months, or years that you are on "auto-pilot"? The same can be said for our senses. If you think you still smell something it may be the "Pavlov's Dog" syndrome.

Before you decide to "burn" those dirty old chair cushions or carpets after they've been cleaned, get an unbiased opinion from a friend by having them over and see if they "smell anything" funny. Don't ask if they smell last year's Super Bowl party, or the old dog; just listen to see if they mention smelling anything. Wait until after they have been where you think the smell is to ask them if they smelled anything.
