Keep Your Kids Safe This Halloween

As much as we would like to make our kids wear glow-in-the-dark, bright fluorescent green, full body costumes with hats that have a big sign saying "Watch out, kid going crazy for candy!", we thought we could share some practical tips for keeping your kids safe on Halloween.
Avoid wearing costumes that have a mask. Try using face-paints instead. If your kids insist on wearing a mask, try to find one that they can easily see out of, especially from left to right.
Convince your children to either carry a flashlight, glow-stick, or bright colored bags for collecting candy.
It's best to stay in groups. It's more fun and safer.
Make sure to look through all the candy before letting them eat some of it. As parents you can designate yourselves as the "official taste-testers."
As a side note, if you leave your home, always blow out candles. It's all too easy to be gone a little longer than you anticipated.
With some planning and a few helpful tips you and your children will have a great time, score some great candy, and be safe. Please share this with your friends so they can have a great Halloween, too!
